Are you up for a lot of culture in Osnabrück?
Are you interested in culture, do you like going to the theater? With the Kultursemesterticket you have the possibility to visit many cultural institutions and events for free.
The culture ticket
In spring 2016, we were able to launch the Theaterflatrate in cooperation with the AStA of the University and the Theater Osnabrück, where all Osnabrück students receive one free ticket per performance (excluding guest performances, special events, premieres and performances on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day). In the winter semester 2019/ 2020, we were able to get something exciting going again in cooperation with the city of Osnabrück and the AStA of the University of Osnabrück: The Kultursemesterticket (KST). Since then you can visit many cultural institutions and events for free. Your valid student ID in combination with a photo ID is valid as admission ticket.
Free admission – to museums and Kunsthalle, no lending fee for the city library within the lending periods!
Free participation – in selected courses, participatory ensembles or concerts of the Music and Art School!
Extra Events – Free of charge to extra events like interesting city tours!

The offer is valid from two days before the desired date of the performance.
Outside of the theater box office, students can also get tickets in the dining halls on Thursdays:
Students will have the opportunity to get tickets at the Mensa am Westerberg from 13:00-14:00. The theater is also present in the Mensa am Schloss from 12:30-13:30 (here also during the semester break).
At both booths, students will not only receive the flat rate tickets and a lot of information about the theater, but also the so-called ticket bargains for 4 and 6 euros, respectively. These are tickets for selected plays that are outside the validity period of the flat rate. Ticket bargains apply to students under the age of 30.

Music and art school
Free participation in certain courses and events
Any participation in offers of the Music and Art School is basically dependent on personal suitability and sufficient free capacities.
It is not permissible to take more than one course within the art or music sections. However, it is possible to participate in one offer in music as well as in art.
Participation is only possible upon presentation of a valid certificate of enrollment for the current semester and will be limited accordingly on a semester-by-semester basis. Participation in the following semester must be reapplied for and is again subject to the status of available capacity at the time.
Only tuition fees are covered through the KST. In art courses, the usual flat-rate material fees apply in accordance with the fee schedule. The same applies to the loan of instruments.
In the area of music, participation in ensembles, bands, and choirs is possible through the KST after rehearsal attendance and suitability in consultation with the teachers. Individual and group music lessons are also available to students for a fee. Concerts are free of charge.
In the field of art, in principle, all courses for young people and adults can be attended. Point 1 on personal suitability and free capacity also applies here.
