In Osnabrück and Lingen you can get from A to B by bike and do something good for the environment at the same time! Both we and the city of Osnabrück offer many different bicycle-related services.
You like to cycle and would like to explore the cycle routes? Once a semester, we organise a so-called “Schleichwegetour” for students together with the ADFC Osnabrück. We show you the most beautiful, fastest and safest routes in and around Osnabrück.
We are in the process of setting up a bicycle workshop at Westerberg. Soon you will have access to a self-help workshop where you can repair your beloved bike yourself under supervision. Here you can patch up your flat tyre, adjust your brakes or carry out more complicated projects. You have access to all (special) tools. The use of these tools is completely free of charge for students. The use of grease, oil, cleaning agents and lubricants is also completely free of charge.
In order to offer students and staff the opportunity to repair their bicycles outside of the university’s various opening hours, we have set up a small bicycle repair station for you, which is always accessible and is suitable for quickly repairing the simplest defects. The location is near the nursery/next to the greenhouses (HO building) within sight of the HR building, where there is already a bike charging station/storage box. To access the tools, you will need to insert a €1 coin, just like a shopping trolley.
If you or your bike should run out of air, you have the option of using one of our bicycle pumps. They are permanently installed on every campus, so you can be sure that you can get your tyres going again at any time. If a pump is damaged, please let us know so that we can repair it quickly.

Your bike is broken and you need a new one? In Osnabrück and Lingen there are always bike auctions where you can buy a used bike at a very reasonable price.
The lost property office of the city of Osnabrück and the RADstation organise an annual bicycle auction, which is regularly announced in the press. Furthermore, the Fietsenbörse offers another bicycle auction.
Twice a year, the Lingen citizens’ office organises an auction of lost property, including numerous bicycles, where you might find your new bike.
