It’s university elections, you’ve probably already noticed. Until December 11 , you can still choose online which students will represent you in the university committees. Why this doesn’t help at all and is totally pointless, we’ll show you now.
1. That doesn’t
help anywayThat’s true! Going to vote has never brought anything. It’s always the same anyway. And they can’t change much. These are only students who do an incredible amount of work in many committees of the university and are usually on an equal footing with professors and other university members when it comes to the distribution of votes. And the president only comes every few weeks to listen to AStA and Stupa and listen to their concerns. Completely pointless to stand up for it or to vote.
2. You don’t
know the people eitherIn real elections, you at least get to know all the politicians personally. In such a television interview, this is something different than when the students are in the same course of study when they choose a university and actually have the same interests. And the opportunity to get to know them, e.g. in a meet & greet or in a friend book, doesn’t exist either.
3. They don’t know my interests at all.
How can they have the same interests?! After all, they only study at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and want to have a cool time. It is as unlikely that the same interests will be developed as man-made climate change. Can’t be.
4. Election day is too short…
In university elections, election day lasts just under two weeks. Who has the time to vote? And it’s already an exam phase, so to speak. How are you supposed to do that? The voting process itself takes just under two minutes?!
5. … and the way to the polling booth so far
So there are no more polling booths, because you can now do everything online, but still! The computer has to be switched on first and then you have to go to vote.hs-osnabrueck.de and then distribute your own votes for two minutes. It doesn’t work at all. It would be easier if someone could do that. Then you wouldn’t have to deal with it at all, so externally determined.
Result:
Voting is useless. It’s best not to go on vote.hs-osnabrueck.de and cast your vote to make yourself and your problems and interests heard.
DISCLAIMER:
That was irony. If you didn’t understand that … I can’t change it either.
