For the upcoming university election, a new voting system will be introduced, which will allow you to vote online! So you are no longer bound to the attendance days (which will still be available on December 6 and 7), but can vote anytime and anywhere via the OSCA portal. Students on a semester abroad can therefore also take part in the elections. We will now explain to you exactly how this works:

You can vote in the period from 6.12. at 8:00 a.m. to 14.12 until 8:00 a.m.

You can reach the election page via the OSCA portal: Here you can cast your votes.

Once you have logged in and are on the election page, you will need to enter the last four digits of your library number. This is the number on the BACK of your student ID! This is only used to verify and confirm eligibility to vote and is not stored on a personal basis.

Now you can choose! Give your vote to the representatives for the Senate, Faculty Council, Student Parliament and Student Councils. Here you can find an overview of all candidates.

In some committees, there is a personal individual election. There you can cast as many votes as there are seats available. For all other committees, there is a list election. There you then select a whole list instead of individual people.

So you have the following number of votes for the following committees

Single election:

  • Student Council IfM (3 votes)
  • Student Representative Council IuI (12 votes)
  • Student Council MKT (9 votes)
  • Student Council WiSo (15 votes)
  • Faculty Council IuI (2 votes)
  • Faculty Council WiSo (2 votes)
  • Institute Council IfM (3 votes)

You only have one vote in the following committees:

  • Student Parliament
  • Senate
  • Student Representative Council AuL
  • Faculty Council MKT

The whole voting system is completely anonymous and not a single vote can be tracked via the token system and the 4-server principle.

If you have any questions, please contact your student council or the AStA. We are happy to help you!
