The study of the future, what should that look like? In 2017, Prof. Dr. Karsten Morisse from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences dealt with this topic during the project week. Students had suggestions such as a hood that can impart knowledge during sleep, learning implants, but also tangible things such as video recordings of lectures.

Lecture Recordings

Lecture recordings bring us students new advantages and opportunities for studying. On the smartphone, tablet or computer, lecture content can be viewed, paused or rewound as often as desired. The lecture can be attended regardless of times. In addition, lecturers are given a new approach to lecture design. The video files can serve as preparation and knowledge transfer. In addition, face-to-face events could be held for deepening, asking questions or for discussion.

Is this also available for my events?

At Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, lecturers are offered the opportunity to record videos. Prof. Dr. Morisse enables professors at the university to use the technology. On a voluntary basis, they are then provided with the equipment and know-how for the implementation in order to make learning easier for us. You can see examples of this

Who is taking part?

So far, the participation of lecturers has been very low, with a total of three professors from the Lingen and Westerberg locations taking part. Would you also like your lecturers to try out the recording? Just talk to them, tell them about the possibility. Only when we as a student body approach the university do they learn about the interest in lecture recordings.
