On the first weekend of the new semester, secret route tours took place again in cooperation with the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) instead of. In sunny weather All students (especially the first-year students), but also employees to get to know fast and safe cycle paths far away from Osnabrück’s main roads and to make new contacts. For the first time this semester, a separate tour for the Haste site took place.
On 06.10.2018 the Haster Studis to get to know the north of Osnabrück on their sneak route tour. Abe Parts of the city centre and old town were also on the programme. The approximately 27km long trail started at the Haste location and led via the Wabe Zentrum, Lechtingen, Knollmeyer’s Mühle in the Nettetal, the Nettebad, Haste, Dodesheide, to the city center and old town of Osnabrück. Then we went along the Hase to Eversburg, where the canal was briefly explored. From there we went back to the Haste location, where we enjoyed the last hours of sunshine on the terrace of the student council and AStA. It was a successful tour and everyone enjoyed it very much!
The next day, 07.10.2018, almost 20 students from Westerberg started their tour under the direction of the ADFC. This tour also included all the important stations in the everyday life of an Osnabrück student: The approximately 20 km long route led mainly through the districts of Westerberg, Weststadt, Wüste and through the inner city and old town. For example, they went to all the important student dormitories, the campuses and canteens, the clubs, or even the main train station. After the great tour, there was a cozy get-together in the Büdchen am Westerberg. Over a refreshing drink, it was possible to exchange ideas and clarify open questions.
For all those who are now also curious about Osnabrück’s secret paths, the secret path tour is expected to be offered again at the beginning of the summer semester 2019.
