YOUR REPRESENTATION IN THE UNIVERSITY COMMITTEES

What is university politics?

Democracy is also important at your university. During your studies at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, you will certainly come into contact with one or two committees. You may not be directly aware of others, but in the background your fellow students on the committees are doing everything they can to shape your studies and represent you. The committees at the university are divided into the following two groups:

Student self-administration:
Student parliament, general student committee, student councils, general assembly

Academic self-administration:
Senate, Faculty/Institute Council, Commissions

Why so many and why at all?
So that nothing is decided over our heads (the students of the HS OS), after all, the students form the largest group of all university members. The individual committees are dedicated to different topics and areas and act either at university or faculty level.
