Applications for a refund of the semester ticket for the summer semester 2021 can be submitted to the AStA until April 15.
In order to be refunded the money for the semester ticket, one of the following conditions must be met:
- Due to an internship or a semester abroad, you are outside the area of validity of the statewide semester ticket (state border of the state of Lower Saxony including Bremen) for at least 120 days continuously during the semester
- You are taking a semester off.
- You have a valid severely disabled ID card that allows you to use all public transport. In this case, it is also possible to be permanently exempted from payment at the Registrar’s Office.
- You are also enrolled at another university in Lower Saxony or Bremen that also uses the statewide semester ticket.
Important: Before applying for a refund, the full semester fee must be paid to the university for the coming semester.

Whether there will be a Corona refund for the next semester for those who are not registered in Lower Saxony and only have online courses will be negotiated by the AStA with the transport companies by the end of February. The information on this will then be announced separately.
