From Monday, 6 September, to Sunday, 26 September, this year’s Stadtradeln (city cycling) will take place, in which Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences will also be represented with two teams.

Stadtradeln is a nationwide competition in which the aim is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way for 21 days. It doesn’t matter how often you cycle – every kilometre counts!

Two teams are starting for the university – one for the Osnabrück location, one for the Lingen campus, for which you can already register now.

Together, colourful teams of staff, teachers and students are to be formed and promote climate protection at the university. Even those who are not in Osnabrück or Lingen can cycle for the university team. Last year, 154 university members cycled a total of 31,222 kilometres.

You can register for the Osnabrück university team at https://www.stadtradeln.de/osnabrueck and select the “Osnabrück University” team. If you would like to support the university team in Lingen, please register at https://www.stadtradeln.de/lingen.

The City of Osnabrück will award prizes for the most diligent cyclists and the largest team. For every cyclist there is also a yellow Stadtradel warning waistcoat available from Climate Protection Manager Sabine Adamaschek, s.adamaschek@hs-osnabrueck.de, Tel.: 0541 969-7045. You can also contact her if you have any questions about the campaign.
